GOODFOOD Training Course

(4th – 8th September, 2023, Murcia, Spain)

The 1st GOODFOOD Training Course was organized by the partnership the week of the 4th to the 8th of September 2023 within the facilities of the IES Secondary School Monte Miravete (Torreaguera, Murcia – Spain) and at CEBAS-CSIC (Espinardo, Murcia – Spain).

The main aim of this course was to present the project, website, and current available resources (i.e. learning methodology, learning units, practical activities and digital tools) to the teachers of the three schools participating in the project. With this information, they will implement the school project activities with their students during the school year 2023-2024.

Dr. María-Teresa García Conesa (CEBAS-CSIC, Spain) introduces the project and the main current issues about Nutrition and Health.
The teachers enjoy playing a card game with images of foods designed to show the relevance of the fat constituent.

Professors Nadia Kehagia and Eleni Nikolaou (Rafina school, Greece) are interested in working in the area of eating disorders and body image.
Meeting and talking with the school students to learn about their opinion and outcomes from the GOODFOOD experience.
Dr. Rocío García Villalba (CEBAS-CSIC, Spain) explains a Learning Unit about the Bioactive Healthy compounds.
Serena Di Grazia (MAIEUTIKÉ, Italy) talks about the critical problem of food waste and practical examples to help reducing waste at home.
Final meeting of the GOODFOOD partners to revise and discuss the full course as well as to prepare the next steps of the project implementation.
