The students from the Rafina Lyceum (GREECE) received the visit of a psychologist to learn and debate about nutrition disorders – (1st February, 2024).

The psychologist responsible for the schools of secondary education in the area, Mrs Helen Koukouli, visited the school in order to present and inform the students who participate in the GOODFOOD Project about the importance and value of a balanced, healthy and nutritious diet as well as the nutritional disorders that come as a result of extreme eating habits. There were many issues discussed and many questions that were answered as a result of the whole presentation and the students were influenced to a great extent by the images and the pictures shown to them.

The multidisciplinary team of psychologists and nutritionists from the organization of mental health και prevention of food disorders “ANASA” (Spirit) also visited the school – (12th of February 2024).

The nonprofit organization “ANASA” is the first Institution in Greece that provides health services of a first level, to people who suffer from Nutrition Intake disorders (Anorexia, Boulimia, Hyperphagia). The founder of the organization, Mrs Zeta Douka, famous actress and influencer made an introduction to the subject and interacted with the students, referring to her experience with anorexia.

Then the psychologists talked to the students about the basic Nutrition Intake disorders, the main causes, and the consequences to students’ health. The nutritionist discussed with the students and tried to reject the most common myths about nutrition, as she presented some balanced models of food habits.

Finally, it was clear to the students of our project that our nutrition reflects directly our soul and that’s why we have to take care of ourselves concerning that issue and loving and respecting our body is the fundamental principle for the appropriate nutritional template.
