GOODFOOD and the current problems of fishing – The students from the Rafina Lyceum (GREECE) visit the fishing port and talk to a fisherman (Saturday, February 10, 2024).

The students visited to the port of Rafina, where they met Anastasios Karamantoulas on his fishing boat who spoke to the children about the fisherman’s profession, the tools he uses, the problems he faces and the reasons why fishing has decreased catches. Anastasios Karamantoulas sees how, every year, the catches are decreasing and the future of fishing is not sustainable at all. Among other things, he showed them the electronic aids of the boat, but also a piece of red coral caught with some fish.

This visit was made with the collaboration of the teachers, Eleni Nikolaou and Konstantina Kehagia.
