The second face-to-face meeting of the GOODFOOD project partners took place in Athens on the 12h and 13th of January 2023. The meeting was held at the main office of PRISMA.
Most of the working sessions on the first day were dedicated to thoroughly discuss the progress of the Learning Methodology protocols corresponding to the PR1 of the GOODFOOD project. In the first part of the morning session, Dr. Francesca Ugolini presented the advances made in the Methodology Handbook for the teachers. There was a general discussion of the main topics/themes to include, as well as of the format of the chapters (type of pictures included, length of the sections, font size) and who would be in charge of each theme.
Demetris Mylonas comments on how to involve the different teachers from the different subjects in the STEAM methodology in this project. Francesca Ugolini proposes to prepare a Google form for the teachers including questions about how they think their subjects can contribute to the GOODFODD themes. After that, we proposed to hold a first meeting with the Focus Group and the teachers involved with a presentation of the overview of the project and the main activities.
In a second part of the morning session of the meeting, Demetris Mylonas introduced the learning modules and the learning resources library, an online repository of knowledge and inspirational material to assist the teachers and help the students. After a long discussion we decided to structure the project with four big modules and inside the modules several learning units.
The progress of the GOODFOOD website was presented by Dr. María-Teresa García Conesa and several suggestions were proposed.
In the second day of the meeting Dr. Francesca Ugolini presented and tried to clarify the structure of the learning units and it was followed by a long debate about this issue.
During the second part of the session, Carlos Vázquez from the IES Monte Miravete school (Murcia, Spain) made a presentation about all the activities related to GOODFOOD already developed in the institute. It was followed by an excellent video presented by Alfonso Guillen with some of the students from the IES. The final part of the meeting was dedicated to set up dated for future events.
The meeting helped us advance important aspects of the project and while allowing us to enjoy the wonderful city of Athens.
